Textron Aviation Welcomes Family to Their New Habitat Home

July 2019

Textron Aviation celebrated the completion of a Habitat for Humanity home on Wednesday, June 26, as parents Binda and Sikitu, along with their five children, were officially handed the keys to their new four-bedroom home in northeast Wichita. The keys were presented to the family by Textron Aviation’s Brad White during a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at the family’s new home at 1137 N. Estelle.

This is the 12th Habitat for Humanity home sponsored by Textron Aviation, and the employee support continues to be outstanding. Several hundred employees donated their time and labor to the project, which began with a wall-raising ceremony in early April. The new home features a living room, kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms, four bedrooms and a laundry room. It also has a one-car garage.

Wichita Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian organization that brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat homeowners build their homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
Thank you to all Textron Aviation employees who volunteered their time to complete this project.
